Riken Keiki Co., Ltd. (head office: Itabashi-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce the launch of its new GD-84D-EX Series Multi-gas Detectors.
Semiconductor factories use a broad range and significant volumes of toxic and combustible gases. As factories expand, so, too, does the cost of deploying more and more gas detectors. As a pioneer in the field of industrial gas monitoring systems, Riken Keiki has developed a new gas detector that offers superior overall cost performance to meet the needs of its customers.
The GD-84D-EX Series features the next-generation high-performance F Sensor. This sensor is significantly smaller than previous sensors, allowing users to monitor up to four different gases with a unit no larger than two of earlier single-gas detectors. Integrating the equivalent of four detectors into a single unit cuts the cost of electrical and communication wiring and sampling pipework by 75%. The smaller detector also reduces space requirements on gas detector racks.
This results in remarkable cost savings, particularly when using the same semiconductor manufacturing equipment with multiple gas types. The products also support PoE (Power over Ethernet), allowing a single LAN cable from the PoE hub to power the gas detector and send signals to upstream equipment via digital communications. These products are ideal for configuring comprehensive factory gas monitoring systems.
